Meet our CEO, Sara Potter

I’m Sara Potter – salon owner, training academy owner, and business coach for ambitious women in the hair and beauty industry. I started my journey with no money, no connections, and no business background – just the determination to create something more for myself. Growing up on a council estate in the UK, I knew the life I wanted wasn’t going to be handed to me, so I invested heavily in my own education and personal growth to build it from the ground up.

After years of working long hours and feeling burnt out, I transformed my business into one that gave me freedom, flexibility, and financial stability. That shift not only allowed me to move to Dubai, but also inspired me to create Shade Academy – a place where others can do the same. Through our in-person and online courses, mentorship, and business coaching, I’m passionate about helping stylists and entrepreneurs gain the skills, confidence, and strategies to grow a career that gives them both success and freedom.
